I was recently sent a fascinating advertisement:
Martin Scorsese's - Alfred Hitchcock's The Key to Reserva.

The Key to Reserva is a 10 minute block of film buff heaven. It sees a playful Marty Scorsese geeking around with a little experiment: taking an unfinished Hitchcock script and filming it as he feels Hitchcock would.

The McGuffin in this short film is a bottle of Cava wine, or rather a top secret message found in the bottle top. Fascinating for any film buff and an amazing piece of advertising brilliance from Scorsese and the open minded marketing team at Freixenet (producer of cava wines).

Now see if you can spot all the Hitchcock references!

Here are some to look out for -

- The shot of the falling man off the balcony.
- The camera flash on the hero.
- The final hero shot.
- And of course the very last shot of the film.

This Ad won 3 Silver Lions at Cannes 2008
